Integrating the divine feminine and divine masculine - the heart is the new base line
The science of love in human form
Anakosha does not offer sessions
However, we can refer you to a male colleague who is a skilled Tantric Massage therapist in Naples, Florida. Click HERE for information. We highly recommend him. The reason for this page is that there are some mistaken ideas about what Tantra really is or does. I myself wanted to know more, and subsequently pursued the subject. Since meeting David and working with him for a spell, I have decided to write about Tantra from my own personal experiences to help dispel some of the wrong ideas.
Tantra from my own personal experiences
This is not a formal presentation of Tantra. Rather it's a discussion based on my own unfolding insights since I began pursuing it. I knew only a little about Tantra when I began to search it out 40 years ago. I had many books in my library related to the subject but had never gotten around to reading many of them. One in particular proved to be excellent. Then I researched Tantra online and found more than I could absorb. It was vague. Still searching, I started going back into my own journals of 40 years. Ever since the kundalini dramatically awakened in me in 1976 I kept extensive, detailed journals. And I could not believe what I found in my own journals. These made more sense to me than most of the books I read. That is not because I knew more, but they were MY words.
Integrating spirit with one's own brain synapses and body organs, muscles, blood and bones, is done through consciousness. Spirit is not physical. It is 100% pure love and you can't pick love up with your fingers or move it around with your body weight. The science of Tantra is one person's conscious reognition of love through his own body, mind and feelings.
A little background - Anakosha started out as a swing club in 1994 and grew to become quite active. I, Diana, who is the one writing this, was its hostess along with my husband. And then it became boring. I yearned for more. I wanted more love, more feelings of love. My journals show I had been nudging in this direction long before I recognized the trend. I was seeking the great unknown mystery that is divine love through encounters with people. Through the body, not as a religious or spiritual experience. I wanted a physical feeling of divine love with other people. I already had it with myself alone during ecstasy moments, but I wanted it with other human beings. I tried different ways and different words to communicate my need, but to no avail.
It is really true that when the time is right, the teacher appears and my teacher appeared earlier than I realized. He is not in physical form. He is an ascended master and he has been with me since kundalini awakened. He has been nudging me in this direction since day one. I didn't know. I am going to reveal his name here because I feel he wants me to. His name is Master Djwal Khul. He is well known in esoteric circles.
After meeting David, he and I learned we were both interested in Tantra and we discussed it at length. I had a different outlook than David about it. David wanted to serve in the capacity of a hands-on healer of Tantric Massage and I thought I did too but learned quickly that it wasn't my calling. Since I was confused about this, one day during meditation I asked DK for advice. I felt he was a Tantra master. Not many people know that, nor did I but I sensed it. I was troubled. "Why am I not as interested in doing hands-on Tantric Massage as David is? Please, will you teach me about Tant - " and I was interrupted - "DIVINE tantra", he said emphatically in a clear voice that cut across my thought. I was surprised. Astonished, really, and then elated. I heard him without a doubt.
This was the beginning of a more conscious relationship with Master Djwal Khul. But it's not like the internet. I can't just call up DK and ask him a question. There has to be a legitimate need on my part and I have to ask with my whole body, mind and feelings. And he is always there. Since that time, which completely satisfied me and set me on the right path, I have been led from book to book, website to website, teaching to teaching and person to person which ran like a link across my inner universe connecting the important points.
From that time on the journey has been magical. I feel sure that David and I were guided together, if not by DK, then by other great beings from beyond sight. When the teacher agrees to take on a student, which is when the student is ready to listen, the journey is no longer passive. It's dynamic. My main thrust of searching was HOW? How does Tantra work? What is the real truth about sex and spirituality and what secrets does ancient tantric manuscripts hold? They appear pornographic. Why is that? Why is there so much emphasis on sex?
I kept probing, which followed by new information coming forward to capture my attention, one step at a time. I learned that Tantra is the process of integrating SPIRIT into matter - my OWN spirit into my OWN body. I learned that focusing on the inner body meant really focusing on the organs, muscles and tissues, and that this took time and practice. It was all about loving yourself. But this was harder to do. It was the second stage. The first stage was easy - just reading books and doing online research. That part is easy. The hard part is actually doing it to the point of actually feeling sensation in the cells of your body so you feel really peaceful. It alters your mood. It's actually lovingly sensual. When I began my search into Tantra I didn't associate spirit with love. I thought only that Tantra was a secret teaching and that I must learn what the secret is.
When it slowly dawned on me that love was the secret ingredient, there was a deluge of insight. A tsunami began. It became clearer and clearer with each new piece of information that what the sacred books on Tantra were teaching, was a process of awakening to love INSIDE myself. Love is a physical sensation when taking time to apply it to yourself. Tantra is not an out-of-body experience. It's an IN-body experience. Spiritual teachers over the years kept directing me OUT of body, which I had a tendency to go there anyway. But with this new understanding after proving it to myself, the human body then started to sparkle and twinkle like a treasure chest revealing sudden flashes here and there, like a jewel box opening up.
Love your muscles, lungs & heart
The process of awakening spiritual love INSIDE the flesh is diverted by an over-emphasis on sex. The sexual distraction is understandable. Sex is more real. Sex is more present. Sex is faster, quicker, available and people are needy. Relationships are needy and they come first. But when it is time to study Tantra, there is a willing shift to study ones Self. That's when an invisible master steps forward to reveal Love as a bouquet that is natural and it has always been there. Like sensitivity and feeling vulnerable. It has always been there. And kindess and humbleness and grateful, and compassionate. It's always been there. And forgiveness, joy, pure happiness and feeling on top of the world. It's a natural part of the human being. But I didn't see them before?! As I practiced loving my physical heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, bones and muscles, I began to feel the love and peace change me. There is a reason for the picture above, depicting half man and half woman. It is the picture of the masculine and feminine aspects fully integrated within one body. The future human being once he brings his male and female tendencies into alignment so there is no more gender anxiety or animosity, he is complete. He is able then to enjoy both heavenly pleasures and earthly pleasures freely, without restriction. Heaven and earth are integrated. This is the secret science of Tantra.
One must agree to take conscious charge of one's own body, and it's done with by redirecting the mind and thought. Turning thought inward is a meditation practice. Instead of looking outside to other people to fill the yearnings, I found spending time alone with myself there was a sense of fulfillment. Understanding is not a fickle thing. It does take hold after awhile. Maybe not immediately, but it does seep deeper and deeper inside. Cultivating thoughts of love within oneself FIRST, is the first step in Tantra. Looking for someone else to help you or to practice with is almost impossible because they are not vibrating at the same pace you are. It's an energy thing. It would be a waste of precious energy to keep searching. How would you explain it to them?
We are daily distracted by other people. The business of living demands it. Outside matters take all our attention. People are human and we need to engage with each other - or so we think - to fulfill basic needs. Until the day comes when it's not enough and we grow disillusioned and bored. We know there is something more and we start looking around for something more.
Tantra is a doorway to an approach to life that is subtle. It is not apparent on the surface but it leads to an integration of spirit with matter. Unlike religion and other esoteric pursuits, this approach uses the power of physical forces to cultivate love INSIDE the body, instead of looking to heaven or to another person to fill the void. It is actually very practical. It is a marriage made in heaven - the marriage between your feminine passive side and your masculine "doer" side. Or, you could say between the divine and the physical. We don't have to give up anything that we love as human beings but our perspective shifts. We don't have to sacrifice anything when we first have love within our Self. This is hugely important. It is no wonder it has been kept secret until mankind has evolved to be able to understand it. I believe the divine right time is upon us now, in this era.
It all begins with Self. When we want something more than what the world has to offer, we begin the search for Self over and above searching for other things. Great treks have been undertaken over the centuries by people who would not give up the search for that holy grail - the Self. The wanting begins silently at first so it is hardly noticeable, but it grows. And even though we often distracted by other people and their needs, wants, we keep going. The material world of glamor and glitter begins to lose its excitement. Distractions are a test. Are we ready yet to commit yet to the inward journey?
In America and Europe today Tantra is being taught as a sensual-sexual practice. It appears as a glittery, sparkly path. It is mostly practiced by women. For a price. They are very sensual about their practice and perhaps they are sexual. But they are practitioners. They are service oriented. You pay them money for their services and they give you an hour or two of intimate touch and training. It is called the Red Path. I am on the White Path. It is solitary Tantra, called Divine Tantra.
Women relate to Tantra better than men because they are internal creatures more than men. They feel things more than men. They yearn for love because the men in their life don't provide it very well. Men don't know how to. The education is missing. Tantra will teach them when it arrives more fully into our culture. Women feel the love within them, but women too make the mistake of looking outside of themselves for answers to their need for love. They yearn for someone else to love them, just as men yearn for someone to give them love.
Solitary Tantra turns the tables on that concept. It dismisses the need for a partner and studies the Self by loving one's own body first. Only the Self can change an attitude. Love is awakened in the body by attention on the inner body. The inner life is often mistaken to mean spiritual, but that is not the way of Tantra. The inner life means to focus attention on one's physical skin, organs, blood, tissues, by thinking love into the body. By practicing techniques of light and love visualizations while focused on muscles, glands, parts of the body and naming them, each one. "God bless you, liver, thank you liver, I love you liver." The body needs your love and attention and will cuddle with you in response.
Tantra is a type of meditation where one focuses attention, thought and silent words on the inner life of the body for extended periods. The intention is to cultivate love into ones own body. This takes time. It is working with Self by utilizing the bouquet of light and joyful qualities, like joy, elation, gratitude, adoration, praise, happiness, dignity, grace, compassion, forgiveness, wonder, awe and more. Such qualities are positive vibrations. They push away negative qualities.
The words used are packages of positive energy. They were created into explosive words from the many times that word was used. Thinking and speaking these positive-packed words creates a pattern that flows into the organ you are focusing on. Like adoration for example. Speaking the silent word "adoration" into your heart brings a feeling of adoration to your heart. Or into the brain cells or the kidneys. This is a basic science. It is only a beginning step, but it is basic to understanding the science of Tantra. It is a conscious practice, using the mind, attention, visualization and stillness. Tantra brings love into the body. There is already love within the body cells, but it has been stagnant. It must be moved or quickened. It must be stirred from its sleep by emotionally triggering feelings of adoration, love and praise into it. A short 15 minute practice would produce sufficient proof of this. Extended periods of time would produce more of the same.
Tantra With A Partner
We must awaken to love within ourselves first before we can help to awaken the love within another. Love attracts love, and so when we awaken the love within ourselves, through focused thought and arousal of feelings, then the love in another person feels that. It is a spark of recognition. It will carry over into lovemaking with a partner.
Love is something that is locked up inside the living creature called human, inside the cells, molecules, atoms and electrons. Love can be accessed all alone, by oneself, sitting in solitude, or practiced with a partner. For those who are searching for someone to practice tantra with, bear in mind, very few have the desire or know what you're talking about. The science of Tantra is not well known. Create a desire to know and ask your higher guides or your higher self. One of the techniques is to get to know your higher self.
The majority of the population today in the United States and Europe will not do this right away. Sex with someone else is too powerful a draw to sit alone in silence. But there will be a few. And in time there will be more who will understand that the key to greater love is first finding the love inside yourself. And that is done in quiet alone, using visualizations and focus on love specifically directed.
"Love is the apex towards which all roads lead, the secret of being, the final illumination, the awakened consciousness. Love is a principle, a consciously maintained attitude of radiation. Love is the apex - peace, contentment, happiness, beauty, well-being and opulence. The flame in the heart is love. And Light is the aura of Love. Expanding love through an individual is really God loving his universe into perfection. The outer mind cannot comprehend it, but seeking love through the heart is to love oneself back to wholeness after eons of separation and apartness. Love is not emotional. It is not selfish. No man can generate love. Love comes direct from Source through the heart flame anchored there. Love alone is the reason for mans being. God individualized himself into man and all things so there would be more foci through which love can flow. (the Maha Chohan on 10/7/56)
